Continued research in the science of gratitude illustrates many health and well-being benefits are derived from a deliberate and sustained practice. Deliberately practicing gratitude includes regularly and mindfully reflecting, expressing, and receiving that which “affirms the goodness in life and recognizes goodness outside ourselves.” Sustaining a practice of gratitude comes from this continued focus over time, resulting in a greater acknowledgment of what you are grateful for, how often you feel grateful, and how deeply you feel grateful. Hence, a greater disposition toward gratitude.
