DRW Staff Biographies

DRW, Inc. has assembled a network of professionals with diverse experience, expertise, and background. In order to establish an effective partnership, DRW prides itself in creating “chemistry“ among its client-coach relationships.

LINDA R. BURTON is President and Founder of DRW, Inc., and brings a unique perspective to achieving organizational results while bridging the interests of management, employees and community. Linda specializes in leadership development, executive coaching and organization design consulting. She has over 25 years of client services support helping clients create a strategic link between human performance and business results. Her ability to help diverse teams work toward building consensus and defining measurements of success helps foster an environment of collaboration and accountability. Her experience also includes organizational assessments, change management implementation and executive retreat facilitation.

She is also a co-founder and managing partner of Great HealthCare Systems, LLC, a firm specializing in leadership development for healthcare executives with particular emphasis on nursing leadership, retention and engagement.

Linda is currently pursuing a M.S. in Negotiation and Conflict Management at the University of Baltimore, holds a B.S. in Health Education from Virginia Tech and is trained in Mediation and Conflict Transformation. She is a board member of the Belanger-Federico Foundation, member of the Girl Scouts of Central Maryland board of directors, past president of Network 2000, a women’s leadership organization, former board member of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, and former Chair of the Board for the Howard County Chamber of Commerce.

DINA BOOGAARD Ph.D. is an Organizational Development Consultant and Professional Coach whose work includes: facilitating, coaching and implementing consensus-based decision making, effective collaboration, strategic thinking and sustainable change. Dina has participated in and been a facilitator of focus groups and interracial dialogues for organizations such as the Federal Department of Education and the U.S. Army. She studied political science at The School for International Service at American University, has a Masters of Arts in Organizational Development and a doctorate in Human and Organizational Systems, specializing in leadership and communication from The Fielding Institute. She is also a founding member of the Fielding Collaborative Center for Social Change and received The Fielding Institute's Annual Social Justice Award in 1996.

MELONIE B. GARRETT - is an Individual and Organizational Capabilities Consultant and Coach with over twenty years of experience in such industries as Information Technology, Telecommunications, Transportation, Manufacturing, and Non-Profit. Her work includes organizational effectiveness, strategic competency planning, leadership development, ontological coaching (personal and professional transformation), succession management, post merger & acquisition cultural integration and managing inclusion. Melonie received her master’s degree in Organizational Development from The American University, and has completed her coaching certification requirements with the Newfield Network and is currently enrolled in their graduate coaching program. She is also certified in Myers-Briggs, Profilor (PDI 360 Instrument), Hoshin Planning, Project Management, and Software Engineering.

DAVID A. KALMAN has over thirty years of experience in organization consulting, senior human resources management, career management and assisting individuals in leading satisfying lives congruent with their values, interests and abilities. Dave is certified in the administration of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator as well as numerous Change Management and 360 Degree feedback instruments. Having attained a B.S. degree in sociology and psychology from Towson University, Dave is currently pursuing a concurrent Masters of Science and Doctor of Philosophy In Psychology from California Coast University. Most recently, Dave has continued developing his expertise in human relations and organizational management through serving as Corporate Vice President – Organization Development, in the private sector.

DON WILMES Ph.D. as a coach and psychologist in private practice, Don brings over 25 years of experience in leading individuals to achieve their goals, develop a better quality-of-life, and enhance their emotional intelligence. Trained in both counseling and clinical psychology, he has been sought to integrate the best of Western psychologies with Eastern practices such as Taoism and Zen. Don uses these resources as powerful tools to effectively address behaviors and beliefs that affect one’s performance at work and satisfaction at home. He is a graduate of Indiana State University with a doctorate in Counseling Psychology and a M.A. in Clinical Psychology and a B.S in English and Latin. His coaching expertise in life transitions and adult development has lead to the designed of LifeStyle Mapping©, an innovative program designed to develop greater balance, purpose, and fulfillment in one’s life.
